As the world’s principal producer, 40% of PHARMAKINA’s quinine output is exported as an active pharmaceutical ingredient to pharmaceutical and intermediary products food industries all over the world, while 60% is processed in PHARMAKINA-owned pharmaceutical laboratories into a number of anti-malarial medicines. These are sold in DR Congo and regional markets. We are present in Africa, Asia and in Europe through our exclusive sales agents or by direct sale to the customers.

Global API exports
The active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) are sold directly ex-factory and are sent by airfreight from Kigali airport in Rwanda to the following countries:

Local FPP exports
The finished Pharmaceutical products (FPP), are sold through a network of agreed distributors in Central African countries.
In DR Congo, PHARMAKINA’s main sales office is located in Kinshasa, where more than 80% of the FPP are sold and distributed through a presence of different representatives in the principal towns of the country.
